By now you’ve heard that the FDA has signaled it may restrict compounded hormone therapy based on a discredited report it commissioned – a report marred by bias, manipulation, limited scope, and a lack of scientific rigor.
APC has drafted a cBHT prescriber letter to FDA Commissioner Robert Califf (with copies to go to congressional leaders) urging the commissioner to slow down, to base any decision about compounded hormones on solid evidence, and to avoid any action that might impede patient access to life-enhancing compounded hormones. If you are a prescriber of compounded hormones, we invite you to review the letter and add your name to it.
